We believe that every individual should have the opportunity to work to their potential. By providing comprehensive psychological and psycho-educational assessments, we are able to better understand an individual’s cognitive, academic, and social-emotional profile. We then tailor treatment to best meet each individual’s needs. 

A psycho-educational assessment involves gathering data from standardized tests, questionnaires, clinical interviews, as well as clinical observations. Psycho-educational assessments are conducted when specific concerns about academic, intellectual, or social-emotional functioning are raised. The purpose of an assessment may include identifying whether a learning disability or mental health disorder is responsible for difficulty in academic settings. The assessment also identifies an individual’s current areas of strength and weakness, their learning style, vocational interests, and/or their personality functioning or level of social-emotional development. Diagnoses of various learning disabilities as well as other psychological disorders are based on the consistency between the results and pre-determined criteria.

We offer assessments for children, adolescents, and adults to explore learning disabilities, ADHD, cognitive function, and social and emotional functioning.

Psychotherapy is a form of treatment for many common disorders including, but not limited to:

obsessive-compulsive disorder
stress management
adjustment disorders (including children and adolescents' adjustment to separation and divorce)
interpersonal problems
parent-child relational issues​

We work with individual clients and, when appropriate, their families to provide support and treatment. Counselling and therapy encompass various techniques that are used to address specific concerns (these techniques are dependent on the practitioner's theoretical perspective and previous training experience). We use an integrative approach that draws from cognitive-behavioural techniques, systems and psychodynamic perspectives, acceptance and commitment therapeutic approaches, emotion-focused perspectives, as well as solution-focused therapy.​

We strive to apply the best evidenced-based care to meet the individual needs of our clients. The length of treatment is dependent on many factors including, but not limited to, the complexity of the issues at hand, the client's ability to apply the strategies and themes discussed in sessions to their day-to-day lives, and their level of insight and motivation, and therefore varies from client to client.

Therapeutic services range from coaching sessions to short-term and long-term therapy. Our therapeutic services are available for children, adolescents, adults, and parents.

Every individual should have the opportunity to reach his/her potential. Children and adolescents in particular, who suffer from learning disabilities, ADHD, and anxiety are often unable to feel successful in their day-to-day life. The stressors associated with learning challenges can have a negative impact on self-confidence and self-esteem that can lead to disengagement, withdrawal and depression. 

We offer educational services by providing academic support for school, such as homework support and reinforcement of regular course content, as well as academic skill building for students with specific learning disabilities with a focus on evidence-based intervention (e.g., for Reading Disabilities). Additionally, coaching in the develop of executive functioning skills is offered to help improve organizational, study, and time management skills and the student's ability to plan and organize written work. Test prep sessions are also available for those in need of intensive review of course content and the development of anxiety reduction strategies for engagement in pressured situations.
