Astha Shah is a mental health professional with over four years of experience supporting individuals with a range of mental health challenges. She holds a Master of Science in Mental Health: Psychological Therapies from Queen Mary University of London. She has clinical experience in hospital and community settings in India including work with bariatric patients and individuals with deafblindness.
In Canada, Astha works as a Psychoeducation Consultant with Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) supporting students’ social-emotional well-being through school-based interventions. She is also excited to be starting to work in private practice and to join the Borovay Psychology team. She is registered as Counsellor with the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP) and is working under supervision toward further regulatory licensing in Ontario.

Astha’s experience includes conducting psychological assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions. She is passionate about working with individuals from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, newcomers, and those navigating life transitions. She believes that everyone has a story to share and narrating one’s experiences can be a powerful step toward healing and growth.
